Nepal visa and entry checklist
Visa rules depend on nationality and can change. Treat the Department of Immigration as the source of truth rather than relying on an old travel post.

Verify your route
Check the Department of Immigration website and the Nepali embassy or consulate in your country. Airlines may also check documents before boarding.
Prepare your documents
Keep your passport, travel itinerary and any required application or payment confirmation accessible. Make copies securely and retain emergency contact details.
At the border
Follow instructions from immigration officers and retain your entry record. If something is unclear, ask an official rather than paying an intermediary.
