BYD’s Robot-Run Mega Factory Builds an EV in Under a Minute

17 May Kathmandu Chinese electric vehicle powerhouse BYD is rapidly changing the modern automotive manufacturing landscape with a super automated mega factory in China that can produce a new electric vehicle body in less than one minute.
The huge BYD plant in Zhengzhou, one of China’s fast-growing industrial hubs, operates at about 98 percent automation, relying heavily on robotics, artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing systems.
The factory is now one of the most visible symbols of China’s accelerating dominance of the global electric vehicle industry.
